General Board Meeting called to order by Chairman Mr. Meyer at 3:45 p.m. Present were Directors Mr. Meyer, Mr. Schloss and Mr. Bettag, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent. There were no citizens of the District present.
Mr. Schloss amended the agenda to state: 7.10 Treasurer Reports - Tabled to November 19, 2009 meeting. Mr. Schloss also added No. 9.1 Closed Session to follow the general session.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept the agenda with the additions of 7.10 – Tabled Treasurer Reports, and 9.1 - Closed Session as presented, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept the minutes of the general sessions of October 13, 2009 and October 22, 2009, and the closed executive sessions of October 5, 2009 and October 27, 2009, as presented, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
Chief Svetanics reported that a new street, River City Boulevard, the main thoroughfare leading to the new River City Casino was opening today between Lemay Ferry and Broadway. Chief Svetanics reported that the Casino is still on schedule to have its grand opening on March 1, 2010.
Chief Svetanics reported that November 21 is the date scheduled for Scouting for Food, the annual collection of food items by the Boy Scouts. The firehouse is the largest collection site in South County.
Chief Svetanics reported that he will be attending the open house of the new Carondelet Park Rec Center to be held on November 18.
Chief Svetanics stated that Dave Sinclair Ford has given us a date of mid-December for delivery of our new pickup truck.
Chief Svetanics also reported that Montgomery Bank is consolidating some of its branches and constructing a new bank at Laclede Station Road. The District’s branch on Union Road will still be operational.

Monthly reports presented on training by each crew member, maintenance report, fire incident report and summary, ambulance statistics, ambulance monthly lockbox report and MediClaims report, community services report, wage report, public relations report, letter from Hoffman & Slocomb, letter from Montgomery Bank, and a thank-you from the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
Next closed M.O.U. meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 23, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. Next general meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 10, 2009, at 3:30 p.m. The regular open meeting for bill discussion will be on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at 3:30 p.m.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to adjourn open meeting and move to closed session at 4:10 p.m., 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, and Mr. Bettag aye.
