General Board Meeting called to order at 3:05 p.m. by President Mr. Schloss. Present were Directors Mr. Schloss, Mr. Bettag and Mr. Meyer, and Ms. Vincent. Captain Bertelsmeier was also present. There were no citizens of the district present.
The Pledge of Allegiance led by Captain Bertelsmeier.
Mr. Schloss stated there are no additions to the agenda. Motion to accept the agenda by Mr. Bettag, 2nd by Mr. Meyer, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye.
Motion by Mr. Meyer to accept the minutes from the general sessions of November 4, 2008, November 12, 2008, November 18, 2008 and November 24, 2008, and the closed executive sessions of November 18, 2008, and November 24, 2008 as presented, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye.
Mr. Meyer gave the treasurer’s report for the month ending November 30, 2008. Mr. Meyer reported that tax revenue has started to come in and that revenue collected through the lockbox is back up this month at $39,798, and that we are still $45,000 ahead of budget for the year.
Mr. Meyer stated that actual expenditures for the eleventh month of the year are at 90.8% or below budget (91.7%) for this time of the year.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept the treasurer’s report as presented, 2nd by Mr. Meyer, roll call vote Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye, Mr. Meyer aye.
Monthly reports presented on training by each crew member, maintenance report, fire incident report and summary, ambulance statistics, ambulance monthly lockbox report and MediClaims report, public relations report, community services report, wage report, and South County Fire Alarm Minutes.
Next general meeting scheduled for next year on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. The regular open meeting for bill discussion will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at 3:00 p.m.
