General Board Meeting called to order by Chairman Mr. Meyer at 3:40 p.m. Present were Directors Mr. Meyer, Mr. Schloss and Mr. Bettag, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent. There were no citizens of the District present.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept the agenda as presented with one addition - 8.12 Additional Personnel, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept the minutes of the general sessions of March 2, 2010, March 5, 2010, March10, 2010, March 18, 2010, March 23, 2010 and March 25, 2010, as presented, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
Mr. Bettag gave the treasurer’s report for the month ending March 31, 2010. Mr. Bettag reported that revenue collected through the lockbox in March was $34,534, which is over budget for the month, and $16,000 ahead of last year.
Total revenues collected are over budget for the third month of the year due to current and delinquent taxes being collected and other income such as building permits, while interest income is still low. Total revenue collected for March is $728,277, being $83,727 over budget.
Mr. Bettag stated that actual expenditures at the end of March stand at $855,533 or at 29.0% of the budget for 2010, mostly because of the added expense of the new ambulance and pick-up truck.

Mr. Meyer stated that the Treasurer Reports should be tabled until next week due to the auditors being in-house this week. Motion by Mr. Bettag to transfer $60,000 from the last open account at Midwest BankCentre, which is strictly Lockbox amounts from ambulance fees, into the General Fund Account at Montgomery Bank, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.

Chief Svetanics reported that we need to get bids from several companies to remove the two old fuel tanks remaining underground and then to fill and repair the parking lot. We have had a year in which to remove the tanks after closing them and getting an above-ground tank.

8.12 - The Board discussed adjusting the salary of Medical Officer, Lt. Michalski to an additional .50 raise starting April 21, 2010.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to adjust the rate of salary of the Medical Officer from $21.61 to 22.11, which is a .50 raise in salary, to begin on the next pay period, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
Monthly reports presented on training by each crew member, maintenance report, fire incident report and summary, ambulance statistics, ambulance monthly lockbox report and MediClaims report, public relations report, community services report, wage report.
Scheduling of next general meetings for May is tabled until next general bill paying meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010.
