General Board Meeting called to order at 3:32 p.m. by Chairman Mr. Meyer. Present were Directors Mr. Meyer, Mr. Schloss and Mr. Bettag, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent. There were no citizens present.
Mr. Meyer stated that there was one addition to the agenda, No. 6.13. Extendo Bed Co. proposal.
Motion by Mr. Schloss to accept the agenda as presented with addition, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
The Board and Chief Svetanics discussed commercial assessed valuations.
Motion by Mr. Schloss to send letter to St. Louis County Assessor’s Office questioning Commercial Assessments for 2009 vs. 2008, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
Board discussed waiting for response from St. Louis County Counselor’s Office regarding the Safety Tax. St. Louis County has a week-and-a-half to respond to our lawsuit.
Board will suggest meeting with Mehlville Board to discuss Mutual-Aid Agreement.
Board has run an ad for hiring new personnel, but has not yet set a hire date.
Motion by Mr. Schloss to accept proposal for $4,168.00 from Extendo Bed Company for a lift package for new pick-up 1601, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to approve ad for bids for Lifepak 12 contract, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
Motion by Mr. Schloss to approve Estimated Non-Binding 2010 Tax Rates as proposed by District Accountant Mr. Schnieders, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
