General Board Meeting called to order by Chairman Mr. Meyer at 3:30 p.m. Present were Directors Mr. Meyer, Mr. Schloss and Mr. Bettag, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent. Also present were District Accountant Joe Schnieders of Schnieders Accounting and one citizen of the District, Tom Coll.
Motion by Mr. Schloss to accept the agenda as presented, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
The Board of Directors and Chief Svetanics discussed mailing out a newsletter from the District to the Citizens. Ms. Vincent is to get a price for printing from 5,000 to 10,000 newsletters.
Mr. Schnieders joined the meeting at 3:43 p.m. Mr. Schnieders presented the new tax rate forms to be filed with St. Louis County. We are waiting for the Board of Equalization to give us final assessed valuations to complete the forms in time for the tax rate hearing. The Board set the hearing for September 28, 2010 at 3:30 p.m.
Checks were reviewed and signed.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to donate our oldest ambulance, the 1994 Ford E-350 Ambulance “As Is” to the Box 8 organization for use as a canteen truck at fire scenes, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye. Mr. Meyer stated that we had had the ambulance for sale for a year.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to adjourn general meeting at 4:47 p.m., 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
