            General board meeting called to order at 8:00 a.m. by Chairman Dave Meyer.  Present were Directors Mr. Meyer, Mr. Schloss and Mr. Bettag, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent.  Also present was District Accountant, Joe Schnieders.  There was one citizen from the District present, Mr. Tom Coll. 

            Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept the agenda as presented, 2^nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye. 

            Mr. Schnieders, the Board of Directors and Chief Svetanics discussed tax rates for 2009.   The Board of Directors chose to set the Tax Rate Hearing on the same day as a previously scheduled general bill-paying meeting, Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at 3:30 p.m.  Mr. Meyer stated that the Notice of Tax Rate Hearing is to be published in a legal paper, The Countian – St. Louis County Edition, displayed here at the Fire House and at various businesses throughout the District, and also shown on our website at lemayfire.org.   

            The Board and Mr. Schnieders discussed the preliminary budget for 2010. 

            The Board scheduled a meeting with Local #2677 I.A.F.F. for Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at 8:00 a.m. for preliminary contract negotiations for up-coming 2010.

            Motion by Mr. Bettag to adjourn the general meeting at 9:15 a.m., 2^nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
