General Board Meeting called to order at 11:00 a.m. by Chairman Mr. Meyer. Present were Directors Mr. Meyer, Mr. Schloss and Mr. Bettag, and Chief Svetanics. There were no citizens present.
Mr. Meyer stated that there were no additions to the agenda.
Motion by Mr. Schloss to accept the agenda as presented, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
4.10 - The Board and Chief Svetanics discussed safety tax revenue from the River City Casino being used for a new St. Louis County Crime Lab.
6.10 – Approval of 2010 Tax Rates.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to accept the preliminary 2010 Tax Rates as presented, 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
6.11 – Discussion of District Newsletter.
The Board discussed the new newsletter they are putting together to highlight the safety aspect of our yearly Open House and other programs (bike helmets, car seats, smoke detectors, etc.)
The Board also had a timeline discussion.
Motion by Mr. Bettag to adjourn general session at 12:26 p.m., 2nd by Mr. Schloss, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
