General Board Meeting called to order at 3:30 p.m. by Chairman Mr. Meyer. Present were Directors Mr. Meyer, Mr. Schloss and Mr. Bettag, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent. Also present was District Accountant, Joe Schnieders. There were no citizens present.
Mr. Meyer added 3.11 to the agenda – Treasurer Reports for August, 2010. Motion by Mr. Schloss to accept the agenda as amended, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
3.11 – Treasurer Reports. Mr. Bettag gave the treasurer reports for August 31, 2010. Mr. Bettag reported that revenue collected through the lockbox in August was 44,815, well over budget for the month.
Total revenues collected are over budget for the eighth month of the year due to delinquent taxes collected last month and other income such as building permits. Total revenue collected year to date by August 31, 2010 is $2,054,065, being $334,698 over budget, but still $163,101 less than last year at this time.
Mr. Bettag stated that actual expenditures at the end of August stand at $2,101,236, or at 71.2% of the budget for 2010, mostly because of the added expense of the new ambulance and pick-up truck.
Motion by Mr. Schloss to accept the treasurer’s report as presented, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote, Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
The Board reviewed and signed monthly expenses.
Mr. Schnieders left the meeting at 4:20 p.m.
Ms. Carol Cordani joined the meeting at 4:20 p.m. Ms. Cordani is a graphic artist who is doing a draft of the newsletter the Board is planning to print and distribute to citizens of the district. Ms. Cordani took pictures of the directors for the newsletter.
