            General Board Meeting called to order at 3:30 p.m. by Chairman Mr. Meyer.  Present were Directors Mr. Meyer, Mr. Schloss and Mr. Bettag, Chief Svetanics and Ms. Vincent.  Also present was District Accountant Joe Schnieders.  There were no citizens of the district present.

 

            Motion by Mr. Schloss to accept the agenda as presented with one addition, No. 6.12 –Tax Rates Post BOE, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye. 

 

Mr. Schnieders and the Board discussed the Post Board of Equalization Tax Rates.  Mr. Schnieders prepared new Tax Rate Data Summary pages to send to State Auditor Susan Montee in Jefferson City.  Mr. Schnieders left meeting at 4:55 p.m.

 

6.13 - Pickup Truck Bid.  Motion by Mr. Schloss to accept bid by Dave Sinclair Ford for $36,152, 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.  The bid includes the cab shell, winch, 4 spotlights, power group and limited slip axle plus all-terrain tires. The Board requested a letter of intent to accept be sent to Dave Sinclair Ford.

 

            The Board discussed the sale of the Jeep that we will be replacing with the truck.  Blue Book value on a 1996 Jeep 4-Door with 81,000 miles is $4,263.  We will wait to advertise for sealed bids for the Jeep on the availability of delivery of the new vehicle. 

 

            The Board signed Principal Financial documents.

 

            The Board signed invitations to local politicians for the open house.

 

The Board reviewed and signed monthly expenses.

 

            Motion by Mr. Schloss to adjourn general meeting at 4:47 p.m., 2nd by Mr. Bettag, roll call vote Mr. Meyer aye, Mr. Schloss aye, Mr. Bettag aye.
