AMENDED NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LEMAY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
The Board of Directors of the Lemay Fire Protection District of St. Louis County, Missouri hereby gives notice that a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 27th, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at 1201 Telegraph Road, St. Louis County, Missouri. The hearing shall be on the proposed rates of taxes, at which hearing citizens may be heard prior to their approval.
The tax rates are calculated to produce the revenues necessary and required to meet the annual budget of the District. Each tax rate is determined by dividing the amount of revenue required by the current tax year assessed valuation. The result is multiplied by 100 so that the tax rate will be expressed in cents per $100 assessed valuations.
The assessed valuations, by category of real and personal property located in the political subdivision, as presently known and available, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2011, for which the tax is to be levied, and for the preceding taxable year are as follows:
